A day in the life of a Network Engineer 

As a Network Engineer, you will be part of highly skilled agile teams that  design and provide operations support and consulting services for a Service Provider in Greece, utilizing IP/MPLS core network and VDSL and LTE access network technologies. 

Your main duties will be to: 

• Support the Network operations of the infrastructure, producing and/or reviewing of operations related procedures and plans
• Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, technical implementations, and maintenance of related equipment 
• Design support providing architectural expertise and guidance
• Perform, in close collaboration with the team, typical system administrative activities including daily performance monitoring, routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance, updating, controlling access permissions and privileges or issue troubleshooting and resolution
• Support subcontractors and clients during the deployment phase
• Carry out quality acceptance controls and acceptance verifications
• Document the technical implementation, policies, and procedures to support the operational environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of technical implementation documentation, procedures, and policies
• Provide regular status reporting

If you have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or other relevant disciplines
• 1-4 years of relevant working experience preferably in preferably in a service provider or Telecommunication Services environment 
• Experience in IP networking, Firewall, Remote access/ access gateway, Security Intrusion Detection, and Prevention, Log Analysis
• Knowledge of telecommunication network protocols and technology
• Familiarity with a large variety of vendors preferably Cisco
• Network certifications (CCNA)
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• Flexibility - Willingness to participate in non-standard working-time models (e.g. call availability etc.)
• Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment
• Excellent command of the English and Greek language (spoken & written)
