Purpose:

A Data Architect is sought to create Logical and Physical Data Models (PDM) along with Integration Designs to support a large transformation project. You will also need to create/modify existing databases after completion of the PDM. You will work alongside other Architects to translate the business requirements to high-level data flow and entity impacts. Other artefacts include creating data landscapes, interface landscapes and conceptual data models.

To understand business requirements and create technical solution designs. Evaluate technology solution options, recommend and create robust high level architecture documents. Own end to end architecture strategies and work in an autonomous environment, always looking for continuous improvement over areas like best practice, governance and methodologies. Set and Manage roadmap for complex and challenging Azure implementations across the different business areas.

• Leading and Managing data architecture development, maintenance and standards, including roadmap, data models, and data utilisation
• Create and maintain Logical and Physical Data models
• Lead, coach and develop co-workers promoting best practice in data architecture and continually benchmarking against industry standards
• Cultivating a deep understanding of the data landscape and interdependencies, identifying data architecture risks and opportunities
• Mentor development teams to ensure that development adheres to design
• Effectively translate technical and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Work with Enterprise Architects to align the SRA information architecture with solutions design and the SRA strategy
• Work with third party suppliers and external providers to support and provide technical expertise
• Identify opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Be consulted on design and provide design patterns
• Participate and contribute in governance and assurance activities

• Data Analysis - The investigation, evaluation and interpretation of the data in order to ensure its coherence, availability, accuracy and security according to the solution requirements
• Data and Integration Architecture : Some good thoughts, but no experience. Has some Bi experience – mostly analytical
• Database Creation/Modification – data centre specific experience, no cloud experience
• CDM, LDM, PDM (Entity and Attribute definitions)
• Data Impact Analysis including Integration
• Entity/Application/Process Mapping
• Good working experience in Dynamic 365/FO 365/Office 365/ Data designs/Azure stack, Sql Server
• Experience of working in an iterative development process such as Agile
• Good knowledge of design patterns and how to apply them
• Able to represent Technical teams and facilitate relationships with indirect stakeholders
• Able to understand and resolve technical disputes across varying levels of complexity and risk
• Experience of working in multiple projects and managing time
• Able to work with external suppliers and liaise with their technical teams
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills
