At Netatmo, we aim at developing products with high quality to the satisfaction of our customers.
Our products are sold without subscription and they benefit from updates along their lifetime. New software releases introduce new features and test automation is key to ensure there is no regression introduced by this new software release.

We decided to build our own test automation framework covering end-to-end tests with hardware products and smartphones automated to assess the functionality of our products.
This test automation framework is a huge challenge to integrate all parts of the connected home : embedded firmwares, backend services, smartphone applications, front end web applications and to make it available to CI/CD to our R&D teams.

As part of the Software Quality Assurance team, you will contribute in the test strategy, architecture design and development of this test automation framework.
The hardware and embedded parts are written in Python, the core is written in Java, UI automation for Android is written in Java and UI automation for iOS is written in Swift.

You will join a team of 6 persons having multiple and various skills : hardware, embedded, python, Java, Swift, test analyst. This variety demonstrates the transversal positioning of the team interacting with almost all R&D departments.

Your experience in software development will contribute to go to the next stage with the CI/CD integration and with continuous improvment of the test automation framework.

You should be able to lead and drive the changes identified to improve the existing framework in collaboration with other R&D leads.

There is a wide range of products to test (camera, thermostat, lights and roller shutter, voice assistants, etc.) and you will get familiar with the newest and most innovating products for the smart home.

YOU’RE THE PERFECT MATCH IF… 🎯

• 3+ years experience in software development, and in embedded software developpement
​​​• Good programming skills in object oriented langages like Python and/or Java
• Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches
• Background working with Git, GitLab especially with CI/CD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
