Job Description

Reporting to the Sales Director based in France, you will be responsible for growing our business and driving our sales in France.  Your main responsibility is to establish the distribution strategy for existing and new product categories, and you will be the key contact with the main European headquarters for our partners (Adeo, Kingfisher, …)

You will establish an internal network with our Netatmo European Sales Managers (UK, Nordics, Italy/Spain, ..). 

You will manage key and executive level relationships across all channels to gain understanding of our partners' overall business plans and growth initiatives.

You will need to monitor the distribution of Netatmo products to accelerate the development of our sales in the region.

In accordance with our European Sales Policy, you will select the best distribution networks and manage all existing and future commercial relationships.

You must build and maintain stable and sustainable relationships with defined retail customers.

Working with our retail accounts, you will monitor and constantly improve the availability and the merchandising of Netatmo’s products, both online and offline.

Your primary goal is to increase our sell in and sell thru of Smart Home products and create much higher levels of visibility, in-store staff training and consumer penetration within all our current and future accounts.

You will collaborate with our existing and potential customers to identify opportunities, implement sales promotions, and develop tactics to drive new and existing product sales both in-store and on-line. Your role will be also to extend the distribution of our products and solutions in your region and to identify good partners to improve our network.

You will manage 2 pro account managers in charge of the direct pro channel (Plumbers, Utilities, …) and an external field sales force (5 people).

You will also be in charge of the relationships and the coordination with Legrand subsidiaries. Your role will be to help them to sell our products with their partners, to coordinate new products launch and also to coordinate promotional activities.

Working closely with the Trade Marketing Manager for the region, you will manage the presentation of our products in the different retail stores to ensure maximum visibility and impact and organize any promotional events / demonstrations.

Managing the entire portfolio within your market, your experience and knowledge in this field (market and competition) will allow you to implement innovative sales activities to ensure maximum visibility and impact, both for new product launches and our existing range. Your role is also to find new partners/channel to launch our new products (Smart Doorlock, …)

By setting clear targets you will be able to monitor whether you achieve them and identify how to improve in the future. You will have to forecast your actions and analyse their impacts and the ROI.

Qualifications

A university or business school graduate, you have at least 7 years’ experience in the French retail and e-tail consumer electronics environment (Leroy Merlin, Castorama, FNAC-Darty, Boulanger,  ..).

You have native level French, and fluent English would be necessary.

Assertive and analytical, you are good at forecasting and planning and your hands-on mentality gives you a clear focus on finding solutions.

Your strong interpersonal and communication skills and enthusiastic nature make you an excellent team player and a good networker. Your leadership and management skills are well recognized. You have also a strong ability to influence key stakeholders and manage an established network in the French distribution. 

You have a genuine managerial expertise to give meaning of the project, to create a vision and to federate everyone. Proven track record of creating sustained growth & value in a fast growing and high potential market.

You are comfortable operating with broad autonomy to make quick decisions and you are able to solve complex problems which may require unique solutions.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. This exciting role requires a lot of travel. You will be constantly visiting stores to meet our clients and check on our products as well as meeting the French & International Sales teams.

This position is based in our headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt (92).
