Job Description

Overview

Nestedbean.com, one of the fastest growing startups in the infant sleepwear industry, is looking for a hands-on Lead Designer with 3-5 years of experience—a design evangelist with passion for creating beautifully executed, highly engaging customer experiences that deliver measurable results across web, mobile, email social and print channels for consumer and business audiences.The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker who can leverage a knowledge of branding, direct response best practices and industry trends into remarkable new brand experiences, and can mentor designers to help us take our brand to the next level.

Responsibilities

-       Work with the Creative Director, content and UX teams to concept and define engaging, results-driven creative solutions and multi-channel campaigns that improve our customer experiences 

-       Demonstrate clear understanding of branding and direct marketing principles

-       Create best practice comps for web and mobile pages, social ads, email and infographics 

-       Design and produce some print communications, including packaging

-       Help direct photoshoots and coordinate with outside photographers

-      Evolve key brand elements, including web and email templates and icon library

-       Ensure design adheres to brand standards, leverages best practices and reflects current trends

-      Evolve and maintain style guides 

-      Mentor a small team of designers to see the possibilities in their work

-      Provide clear, strong, strategic creative direction 

-      Present and defend creative work with authority and enthusiasm

-      Ensure team efforts are managed to strategy, scope of work and deadlines

-      Proactively help evolve a culture that inspires and encourages innovative, optimistic thinking

-      Be an agile problem-solver, collaborator and business thinker

Qualifications

-       BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Communications or related field

-       Experience with branding and creating brand collateral 

-       3-5 years experience in digital and print design, preferably in family markets

-      Understanding of industrial design and product design a plus

-       Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, PPT

-       Experience with movie making software such as iMovie or Final Cut considered a plus

-       Experience designing for retail environment; packaging, point of sale, line presentations

-       Experience designing for direct to customer, website UX, landing pages, cross platform social media campaigns, digital ads etc.

-       Experience creating visual or mood boards for brand, social media or product line presentations
