Job Description

Position Purpose: The Warehouse Trainer supports the onboarding and development of new employees, including temporary and direct hires, by providing training in designated subject areas and job-related skills. Acting as both a classroom instructor and on-the-job trainer, the Tutor transfers knowledge, reinforces best practices, and helps employees develop the competencies needed to perform their roles effectively and safely on the warehouse floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcomes new employees and temporary workers and introduces them to their work position, colleagues, and work environment (e.g., warehouse floor areas, production, Quality team, suppliers, etc.), while emphasizing the regulatory, quality, and safety requirements associated with working in the medical device industry and the importance of complying with established procedures and standards.
  • Manages Training Checklists for each new employee and works with Warehouse Supervisor to assign Training Buddies. Utilizing the Training Checklist, first demonstrates how to successfully complete tasks to be performed during the shift, according to training checklist
  • Shows and explains how to inspect and operate warehouse equipment safely with adherence to company policy.
  • Introduces the documentation to be used in the warehouse processes (e.g., lot control sheets, work order packets, and material verification)
  • Provide training on Good Manufacturing Practices (e.g., traceability, identification, batch name, preparation, and line clearance, …)
  • Prevent accidents by explaining the risks at work areas (e.g., risks of pinching, cut, etc.) and standard response to safety concerns or incidents
  • Assesses the new employee at the end of their induction using the Training Checklist, provides regular feedback and/or additional training, and monitors them over time
  • Serves as a mentor to employees as well as a liaison between floor staff and the warehouse management team across all facilities
  • Develops and promotes positive working relationships with new hires, peers, and leaders
  • Shares best practices and challenges identified during tutoring with other Tutors, Warehouse Supervisors, Warehouse Manager, and Human Resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience as an effective operator in warehouse environments
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments
  • Complete knowledge of quality procedures and documentation applicable to warehouse
  • Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk 90% of shifts and from machines, buildings and/or clean rooms
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a cleanroom manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels

POSITION RANGE: $24.00 - $30.00 USD Hourly (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)
