Job Description

A member of the Plant Purchasing team and the Global Extended Procurement Team, the Plant CapEx Buyer manages the local CapEx spend categories for Facilities infrastructure, construction, related spend. The position also supports Global CapEx - Managers strategies & Suppliers from a Local level (Molds, Machines, and Equipment).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1 / CapEx purchases:

  • Lead the request for quote process for new Local Capital projects.
  • Initiate and negotiate agreements in cooperation with all other functions.
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance.
  • Coordinate Group indirect activities with the corporate team when relevant.
  • Supports Global CapEx Strategies from the Local level. 

Market Intelligence/Innovation:

  • Analyse the key drivers which have an influence on the market supply.
  • Follow energy regulations to identify new opportunities for energy credit and lower usage.

Savings/Budget Initiatives:

  • Identify and quantify savings projects in support of the annual Budget process in conjunction with Plant and Finance.
  • Track actual savings and update monthly forecast in support of reporting process. 
  • Develop cash savings opportunities.
  • Prepare data and forecasts to make decisions related to Budget as well as strategic development

2/ & 3/ SRM tool (PACE) and SAP

PACE:

  • Be the front line to support PACE users locally.
  • Serve as back-up for vendor management within PACE.
  • Upload purchasing information to up-date and maintain the vendor database accurate (including supplier assessment).
  • Run spend analysis for CapEx related categories 
  • Launch RFX through PACE for all significant spend activities

SAP:

  • Activities Associated with CapEx and relates PO’s
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
  • Monitor KPI reflecting good use of SAP system for its domain; ensure best practices and business rules are respected

4/ Support the Plant Purchasing Manager:

  • Support and act as back-up for the projects sourcing activities.
  • Maintain the contract database updates.
  • Follow Non-Disclosure Agreements process.
  • Support the monthly reporting activities. 
  • Develop and maintain templates and other documents for procedural documentati

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 -5 years’ experience in purchasing.  Preferred experience managing a category.
  • Skilled in process management, financial analysis, and negotiations.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts across a broad array of commodities.
  • Possess strong teamwork skills, adaptability, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels within the organization.  
  • Good working knowledge & experience with SAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Organized, result-oriented, able to stay focused & prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Reliable with a high degree of accuracy
  • Continuous Improvement /Lean environment experience
  • Reactive/ customer oriented
  • Familiar with ISO quality systems

Qualifications
