Job Description

As Creative Content Producer at Nearmap, you will be the engine behind our social and digital content, producing high-quality, platform-native video, animation, and visual content that brings our brand to life across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. This is a fast-moving, high-output role for someone who is as comfortable shooting and editing a 30-second LinkedIn video as they are wrapping up a webinar into a punchy highlight reel or working with a customer to help share their story. You'll have the creative instincts to know what works on each platform, the technical skills to produce it to a high standard, and the pace to turn it around quickly, often within 48 hours. You'll work closely with the Senior Creative Designer, Digital Designer and our Social Marketing Manager, sitting within a small, tight-knit creative team. Together, you'll ensure that Nearmap content is not only visually consistent, but genuinely engaging, content that people actually want to watch, share, and act on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce short-form video content, animations, swipe-through carousels, and social graphics that are native to LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and potentially, in the future TikTok!
  • Support campaign, customer and event content needs across the full marketing team, from product launches and demand generation campaigns to customer stories, event highlight reels, webinar wrap-ups, and explainer videos
  • Operate with a 48-hour turnaround capability for social-first assets. Fast, organised, and without sacrificing quality
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Creative Designer and Digital Designer to ensure all visual content aligns with brand direction and integrates with broader campaign executions
  • Respond to briefs, translating needs into compelling visual formats
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, accessibility standards and algorithm changes, proactively bringing new content ideas to the team
  • Familiar with, and comfortable using AI tools for scaling content creation
  • Manage your own content production pipeline from brief intake through to final delivery
  • Maintain an organised library of footage(including our rich historical imagery), assets, and templates the broader team can access and build from
  • Support the capture of live content at Nearmap events, including filming, interviewing, and on-the-day editing where required.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in video production, content creation, or a similar role, ideally within a B2B, SaaS, or tech environment
  • A strong portfolio of short-form video, social content, and animation work with clear examples across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for graphic and visual asset production
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva for graphic and visual asset production
  • Comfortable working to fast turnaround timelines without compromising on quality
  • Comfortable working with a brief, you can interpret direction, ask the right questions, and deliver without being hand-held
  • Experience capturing and editing event or live content is highly regarded
  • Storytelling, crafting narratives.

Skills

  • Strong video editing and post-production skills, raw footage to polished, platform-ready content
  • Motion graphics and animation capability, bringing static content to life with purposeful, on-brand movement
  • Visual storytelling, structuring a narrative in short format, hooking an audience quickly, and landing a message with impact
  • Platform fluency across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Aspect ratios, optimal lengths, trending formats, and what performs
  • Strong design sensibility — visually consistent, brand-aligned, and well-crafted even at speed
  • Organised content producer, managing a live pipeline of multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously
  • Collaborative communicator, works well with briefs, takes feedback constructively, keeps stakeholders informed
  • Data-aware, reads basic engagement metrics and uses them to inform future content decisions

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Figma for light graphic design and template work
  • Video capture and photography skills for events or product capture
  • Experience with 3D software or geospatial visualisation tools is a plus, (Blender, Cinema 4D, 3ds MAX) but a genuine curiosity for learning new platforms and workflows is equally valued.

Personal Attributes

  • Platform Native: You live and breathe social media as a creator — you notice what's trending and bring that instinct to everything you make
  • Fast and Focused: You thrive under tight timelines and take pride in delivering quality work quickly
  • Creative Collaborator: A natural team player who takes direction well, contributes ideas generously, and makes the people around you better
  • Curiosity and Learning Mindset: Constantly watching, learning, and experimenting — keeping up with platform changes and emerging formats
  • Attention to Detail: You notice when something is off and quality matters to you, even on quick-turnaround work
  • Adaptable: Comfortable switching between a polished brand video and a trending reel, knowing which register is right for which moment
  • Positive Energy: You bring good energy to the team, handle feedback with maturity, and are genuinely enthusiastic about the work
  • Interested in technology

Tertiary Qualifications

A degree or diploma in Digital Media, Film & Television, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred, but we know the best content creators often come from non-traditional paths. What matters most is your portfolio. Show us content you've made, platforms you've grown, and videos that performed — that will tell us everything we need to know.
