Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Learning Support Case Manager for the 2018/19 school year to manage and provide support services for students with learning differences.  The Case Manager will be a part of the Student Support team, reporting to the Director of Student Wellness and Support Services.

Schedule: 20 hours per week over 10-month school year, late August to mid-June; hours can be flexible during the school day

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate support services for students with learning differences
  • Conduct screening, benchmarking, academic progress monitoring, and related services

  • Document learning support and accommodation plans

  • Work with learning specialists, teachers and families to support implementation of accommodations for students

  • Participate in student support meeting

  • Maintain and monitor the use of a student meditation space in concert with other faculty and staff

  • Assist with school-wide initiatives that address learning differences and related topics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in special education or equivalent work experience in related field

  • LBS1 certification preferred

  • Learning specialist background with firm knowledge of the RTI process

  • Training or experience in providing executive functioning support to students across various developmental stages

  • Experience with academic screening measures and benchmarking tools such as aimsweb

  • Well versed in learning and social-emotional differences

  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment and emotional maturity

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with teams

  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to adapt role  to the evolving needs of the student population

This is a part-time position, pay will reflect part-time status and will be commensurate with background and experience
