The main objectives of the NLA are to conduct multidisciplinary basic and/or applied scientific research in the life sciences, energy, interdisciplinary and other fields of science, as well as activities to establish scientific laboratory, experimental bases, centers, institutes for the development and implementation of scientific, scientific and technical, educational programs and training of specialists.

Conducting preclinical studies; research and trainings on small and large laboratory (experimental) animals.

- cleaning of cages, animal housing rooms, sanitary checkpoints, corridors, storage and auxiliary rooms of the vivarium in accordance with the approved schedule and standard operating procedures; - supporting the fulfillment of research requests in the Unit of the Institution; - timely and accurate execution of instructions of the Head of the Unit of the Institution, including: - preparation of draft requests, explanatory notes and memos; - drafting technical specifications for goods, works and services procured for the activities of the Unit of the Institution, within the scope of competence; - preparation of document packages in approved forms for the procurement of goods, works and services; - acceptance of goods and animals; - timely preparation and submission to the Head of original documents for purchased goods, performed works and rendered services; - induction and maintenance of anesthesia in experimental (laboratory) animals; - preparation of disinfectant solutions, monitoring of their expiry dates and storage conditions, labeling of working containers, and recording of disinfectant consumption in accordance with the established procedure; - advising researchers on the medicinal and veterinary products administered, their dosages and routes of administration; - participation in the disposal of medical and biological waste, including removal of animal carcasses, and collection of the required waste disposal documentation; - maintaining the established sanitary regime and microclimate parameters within the scope of competence; - preparation of rooms, animals, cages, enclosures, stalls, equipment, transport containers, workwear, PPE and consumables for studies, veterinary examinations, quarantine, preventive and other measures; - safe moving, placement, transfer, herding and restraint of animals; - transportation of animals between vivarium rooms and laboratory units in special disinfected cages, containers or other means of transport in accordance with standard operating procedures, as well as maintaining cleanliness and order in animal housing areas; 2 - collection, packaging, labeling, temporary storage and transfer of biological material, bedding, waste, animal carcasses and contaminated equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and biosafety requirements; - compliance with the rules of personal hygiene, biosafety, occupational safety, fire safety, handling of disinfectants, and protection against bites, scratches, allergic reactions and other occupational risks; - maintaining primary records within the scope of competence: logs of cleaning and disinfection, animal movements, animal arrivals and departures, and quarantine.

Secondary specialized (vocational) education. Priority specializations: nursing, general medicine, veterinary medicine, sanitation, preventive medicine.

With a bachelor's or specialist degree: at least 13 (thirteen) years in the relevant field. Experience working with animals and conducting preclinical studies.
