Job Description

The Manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. organizes and participates in the planning and implementation of the Division’s recruitment activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in foreign countries, with the aim of attracting applicants/candidates to the University’s Foundation, Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD programs (hereinafter – academic programs of the University);
  2. collaborates with structural divisions of the University, central and local executive bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign partners, educational organizations, specialized organizations and other bodies for the implementation of recruitment activities;
  3. organizes the participation of the Division in Kazakhstani, international educational exhibitions and promotes the University and its academic programs to potential applicants/candidates;
  4. prepares  presentation and informational materials and updates recruitment-related content;
  5. works with the electronic database of applicants/candidates and the CRM system;
  6. provides consultations to applicants/candidates on the rules of participation in the competition to study on the academic programs of the University through various means of communication;
  7. keeps record of print materials and brand products of the Division;
  8. makes proposals to the Head of the Division to improve recruitment processes;
  9. timely and properly executes the tasks of the Head of the Division and the University`s management; 
  10. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents; 
  11. is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline; 
  12. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer; 
  13. in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the Head of the Division (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer). 

Qualifications

Education 

- Higher professional education, preferable from a higher educational institution with English language of instruction

Work experience

- Minimum three years in the relevant field

- Minimum one year of work experience in the field with a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree

- University graduates with no work experience may be considered for the position if they demonstrate strong results during the competitive selection process.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education

- Knowledge of and proficiency in English, Kazakh and Russian

- High level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CANVA

Skills

- Problem-solving skills (routine problems); 

- Analytical skills: ability to use information from multiple sources and provide recommendations on changes to policies or procedures;

- Ability to interpret/ to explain policies and procedures and provide recommendations for their improvement;

- Ability to effectively with people from diverse cultural and national backgrounds;

- Strong communication skills;

- Skills in preparing presentations, promotional and informational materials, including presentations, social media content, email campaigns, promotional copy, and event marketing materials, are an advantage;

- Presentation and public speaking skills.
