Job Description

Ensuring the operation of the Institution in the area of administration and support of the activities of the Institution’s Biomedical Research Facility.

- coordinating the work of the Institution’s Unit;

- ensuring training and providing consultations to researchers and other stakeholders on matters related to the organization of the Unit’s activities, services provided, and other processes associated with conducting preclinical studies;

- informing researchers involved in animal research about changes to rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and/or instructions for working with animals within the Institution’s Unit;

- preparing requests and adjusting the budget by expenditure items;

- preparing technical specifications for goods, works, and services to be procured for the activities of the Institution’s Unit;

- preparing a package of documents in accordance with approved forms for the procurement of goods, works, and services;

- conducting correspondence within the scope of assigned functional responsibilities;

- monitoring the execution of contracts for the procurement of goods, works, and services;

- ensuring the timely and proper preparation of relevant agreements and contracts within the budget for the respective financial year;

- monitoring budget execution; - preparing and timely submitting documents to the Accounting Department for payment and accounting purposes;

- participating in the organization and conduct of conferences, lectures, seminars, and round-table discussions.

Qualifications

Higher education in Biology, Veterinary Medicine, and/or other related fields. A Candidate of Sciences/Doctor of Sciences degree and/or a Master’s degree or PhD.

Priority areas of specialization: Biological Sciences; Veterinary Medicine; Pharmaceutical Sciences;  Pharmacology / Clinical Pharmacology.

Work experience in governmental, quasigovernmental, outpatient, or animal husbandry institutions. Experience in international organizations or institutions of a similar profile is an advantage. For candidates holding a PhD degree — at least 1 (one) year of relevant experience; For candidates holding a Master’s degree — at least 3 (three) years of relevant experience; For candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree or Specialist degree — at least 5 (five) years of relevant experience. Experience in working with animals and conducting preclinical studies.
