Job Description
General Manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:
1) supports the Dean, the Vice Dean, and the Head in all academic and student affairs matters of the School;
2) assists the Head in organizing, planning, and coordinating the activities of the administrative staff for academic and student affairs of the School, as well as provides them mentoring and methodological assistance;
3) assists in ensuring the implementation of the University’s strategic goals and organization of activities to implement the strategic and operational plans of the School within the framework of the supervised area;
4) provides reports, information, and data on academic and students affairs matters to the Dean, the Vice Dean, the Head, and the structural divisions of the University;
5) participates in the process of preparing and obtaining international accreditation of the academic programs of the School in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
6) participates in the process of the School’s academic programs curriculum development, ensures revision and enhancement in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the School and University;
7) controls over the completion of all teaching and learning quality assurance School procedures according to University regulations in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the School and University;
8) ensures the School’s compliance with the provisions of the Students’ Code of Conduct and disciplinary procedures of the University;
9) ensures the provision of administrative support for School educational processes in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the School and University;
10) coordinates the class schedule, preparation of reports and statistics on the educational process, as well as student progress across all academic programs of the School in conjunction with concerned structural units of the School and University;
11) controls all processes pertaining to the academic and students affairs operational activities of the School in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the School and University;
12) controls the conclusion and execution of contracts and additional agreements initiated by the School in the framework of the supervised area in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the School and University;
13) controls all processes pertaining to the recruitment and admission to academic programs of the School, as well as the development of School indicative data for student enrollment in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the School and University;
14) coordinates and controls the implementation of an effective marketing strategy to promote the School and academic programs, implementation of the School’s recruiting plan, the implementation of the University’s internationalization strategy, the School’s academic mobility programs, and events to transmit the University experience to Kazakhstani higher education institutions in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the School and University;
15) participates in the assurance of the School’s reputation and increasing society’s awareness of the School’s academic programs;
16) provides consultation and assistance to the Head of departments and faculty of the School on academic issues and the organization of the educational process;
17) if necessary, makes proposals to improve the quality of the educational process, recruiting activities, student admission processes, and promotion of the School’s academic programs;
18) ensures the development of internal documents at the level of the School and University on the matters governing the activities of the School within the framework of the supervised area and monitors their compliance;
19) consolidates, keeps, and monitors the implementation of internal audit recommendations, as well as protocol assignments given by the Management of the University to the School within the framework of the supervised area;
20) controls over the process of development of the School’s budget request and investment plan for the corresponding financial year and for the medium term within the framework of the supervised area;
21) participates in the identification, evaluation, management, and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
22) temporarily performs the duties (replaces) of the Chief Administrative Officer during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);
23) timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;
24) observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
25) is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
26) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;
27) in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).
Qualifications
Education
Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with the English language of instruction;
The Master's degree is preferred

Work experience
Seven years minimum, at least three of them supervising people. Minimum five years with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant area

- knowledge and skills of using marketing principles;
- knowledge of the basics of risk management;
- knowledge and skills in effective operational management;
- knowledge in the field of organization and conduct of the educational process;
- proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Google environment (Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, Slides, Drive);
- fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English
