Job Description

1) interaction with University's structural units, Schools and subsidiaries on budgeting and financial reporting issues;

2) collection and processing of requests from Faculty of the School and staff for inclusion in the School budget;

3) providing advisory, methodological and practical assistance to the School staff on economic planning, budgeting and analysis within their competencies;

4) participation in the formation (adjustment) of the annual (medium-term) operating budget in the framework of the Academic activity, general and administrative School expenses, with the collection and formation of supporting documents, with consolidation at the School level;

5) monitoring the correctness of the reflection of expenses in the accounting system and timely development with the Department of Finance to make adjustments;

6) participation in preparation of the necessary information, reporting and statistics on the School's financial and economic issues at the request of the University's structural units and organizations in agreement with the Dean and the Head;

7) participation in activities to implement the strategic and operational plans of the School within its competencies;

8) participate in the development of business process optimization across the range of their functional responsibilities;

9) timely and proper data entry on the School’s budget into the information system for budgeting, and, if necessary, making suggestions for its improvement and further development;

10) participation in the development, as well as the subsequent monitoring of the implementation of draft contracts and additional agreements initiated by the School;

11) performs duties (replaces) of the Specialist or Manager for finance and budgeting of the School during his/her temporary absence (for up to one month).

12) timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University management;

13) observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the internal documents of the University;

14) responsible for compliance with labor and service discipline;

15)     responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, as well as preventing the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as restricted access information in accordance with the legislation, the Charter and internal documents of the Employer

Qualifications

Education     

Higher professional education, preferably in higher educational institutions with English language of instruction;

Priority areas of specialties:

- finance;

- economics;

- accounting and auditing;

- management

Work experience    

With a Bachelor's degree / Specialist - at least one year;
Work experience is not required with a master's degree in the relevant field.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

- basic knowledge of 1C Enterprise;

- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint programs.
