Job Description

The psychologist performs the following labor duties:
1) direct interaction with structural units working with students in order to create a positive climate on campus that affects the well-being and mental health of students;
2) training of the teaching staff and employees of the University to identify and respond to the student's distress, deviant behavior;
3) advising the teaching staff on the organization of a learning environment that improves the well-being and mental health of students;
4) supervising the work of student clubs involved in the creation of student support programs in the field of well-being and mental health;
5) conducting training programs for the prevention of mental health and well-being of students;
6) development and distribution of information materials (booklets, brochures, posters, etc.) to improve the psychological literacy of University students;
7) administration of the web page and YouTube channel of the psychological service; regularly updating the content with articles about common mental health problems, the possibilities of their solution through available resources on the University campus and at the Center;
8) rendering assistance in organizing the work of psychological assistance, studying and meeting the needs of persons with disabilities;
9) regular professional development through participation in seminars, conferences, training programs, intensives, ten days, master classes;
10) participation in the committees of the University on mental health and well-being;
11) conducting primary psychological diagnostics for students seeking psychological help;
12) annual holding of university-wide events aimed at the prevention of psychological health;
13) participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the supervised area;
14) timely and high-quality execution of other instructions of the Lead Consultant and the management of the University within the framework of their official duties and powers.
  15) timely and properly perform the tasks of the immediate supervisor and management of the University;
16) complies with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal documents of the University;
17) is responsible for compliance with labor and service discipline;
18) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, as well as preventing the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of limited access in accordance with the law, the Charter and internal documents of the Employer;
19) in case of dismissal, is responsible for the timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee at the direction of the immediate supervisor (according to the acceptance certificate).

Qualifications

Education:
Higher professional education, preferably in higher educational institutions with teaching in English. Preferably a degree of at least a master's degree or a specialist in psychology, pedagogy and psychology, psychotherapy. 
It is preferable to have a certificate of professional training for at least 1 year in one of the areas of psychotherapy (cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, psychodrama, transactional analysis, psychoanalysis, etc.)

Priority areas of specialties:
- Psychology;
- Psychotherapy;
- Pedagogy and psychology;
- Psychological counseling

Work experience:    
At least 3 years of experience as a psychologist, psychotherapist in educational institutions, medical institutions, private practice, documented (certificate of registration), at least 1 year with a master's degree in the relevant field

Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Ethical Code of Psychologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint programs;
- fluency in English, Kazakh and Russian.
- ability to work effectively both individually and in a team

Skills:
- analytical and creative skills;
- skills in preparing reports, analytical notes;
- possession of skills in providing psychological assistance within the framework of their specialization 
-mastery of individual and group work skills in the context of improving psychological health and prevention of suicidal and deviant behavior;
