Job Description

Manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:
1)   carries out the operational and administrative activities on academic and student matters with students, professors, and alumni of the supervised academic programs of the School;
2)    organizes and conducts meetings of the disciplinary committee for students enrolled in the supervised academic programs, as well as other committees within the supervised academic programs of the School;
3)    carries out the activities with the purpose of conclusion and execution of contracts and additional agreements initiated by the School within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School; 
4)    organizes the processes of students internships as a part of the supervised academic programs in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
5)    participates, if necessary, in the process of students’ admission to the academic programs of the School, as well as their orientation and adaptation to the School in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
6)    organizes and executes the processes of registration, transfer, dismissal, and graduation of students, as well as the examination process of the supervised academic programs of the School in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
7)    organizes and executes activities for payment or reimbursement of expenses that occurred  during the implementation of students’ final projects (Capstone, Thesis, Dissertation) within the academic supervised programs of the School, as well as organizes the trips of students studying on the supervised academic programs of the School in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
8)    organizes processes on student feedback on courses within the academic supervised programs of the School, analysis of the data received;
9)    participates in activities to promote academic programs, including the School’s activities aimed at attracting students to academic programs in conjunction with concerned structural divisions of the University;
10)     organizes guest lectures, seminars, conferences with the participation of invited lecturers to the supervised academic programs of the School;
11)    organizes the collection, sorting, and archiving of students’ examination papers for supervised academic programs of the School at the end of each semester;
12)    consults the Faculty on the organization of the educational processes and students on academic performance, as well as the identification and support of students with low academic performance, so-called “students at risk” within the academic supervised programs of the School;
13)    participates in the process of budget development and the School’s investment plan for the corresponding financial year and for the medium term within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School;
14)    works with incoming correspondence, with requests for structural divisions of the University, timely submits the answers to letters, citizens' appeals, within the framework of the supervised academic programs of the School;
15)    participates in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the framework of the supervised area;
16) temporarily performs the duties (replaces) of the other Manager during his/her   temporary absence (up to one month);
17) timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;
18) observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
19) is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
20) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access by the legislation, Charter and, internal documents of the Employer;   
21) in case of dismissal, is responsible for the timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Education     

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Work experience 

Three years minimum. One year of working experience with a master`s degree in the relevant area

Knowledge

- Knowledge of laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education and science;
- knowledge in the field of organization and conduct of the educational process; 
- knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Google products (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Drive), Student Information and Registration Systems, Moodle;
- fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English

Skills

- Skills of conducting psychological and educational work with students;
- basic negotiation skills
- skills in the work process planning.
