Job Description

- Installing and configuring new technologies for customer use, such as hardware and device management applications, within their competence;
- regular maintenance of the existing fleet of audiovisual and interactive equipment to ensure the educational process and support of events;
- performing regular checks on the readiness of audio-visual and interactive equipment for operation;
- providing assistance to users on issues related to information technologies within their competence;
- checking the status of all systems and equipment, as well as troubleshooting systems and applications;
- replacement of defective or damaged equipment;
- testing, evaluation and study of updates and new technologies within the framework of the Office of Customer IT Services;
- providing consulting and methodological assistance on the issues within the competence of the Office of Customer IT Services;
- providing assistance to the Head and Chief Information Officer in coordinating and monitoring the execution of contracts and budget items within their competence;
- performance of the duties of the employees of the Office entrusted by the Head during their temporary absence (up to one month) (business trip, social leave, regular work leave, temporary disability);
- participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the supervised direction;
- timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers

Qualifications

Education

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Priority specializations:

- computer science or related fields;
- information technology;
- engineering

Work experience

Three years min.
At least 1 year with a master's degree in the relevant field

Knowledge

- knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of informatization and education;
- confident knowledge of audio/video equipment functionality and technical solutions in the field of streaming lectures, events of different levels (VIP, state, marketing, etc.), presentations, conferences, distance learning;
- confident knowledge of the equipment functionality and technical solutions in the field of audio/video signal reception and processing;
- possession of knowledge of maintenance of audio-visual and interactive equipment (work may include installation, configuration and updating of hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting any problems related to equipment in the premises that may occur regularly);
- knowledge of computer hardware and systems;
- analytical skills;
- customer service skills;
- work experience in the field of IT support;
- change and project management skills;
- skills in preparing and conducting presentations;
- availability of certificates in the field of information technology (hereinafter referred to as IT) relevant to the performance of these functions (preferably);
- knowledge of MS Office programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- proficiency in English, Kazakh, Russian languages
