We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Communicator to contribute to the establishment of a new education research centre that will be housed within the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University. The vision of CARCEIT (Central Asian Research Centre for Education Innovation and Transformation) is to become the leading education research center in Central Asia, producing high-quality research to inform education policy and practice while building education research networks and communities in Central Asia.

Job Description

The Research Communicator, in collaboration with the Centre Director, staff, and researchers, has overall responsibility for:

  • building CARCEIT’s online presence nationally and internationally, through multilingual dissemination of research-related content;
  • representing CARCEIT to diverse stakeholders;
  • creating research networks across the region;
  • assisting with the development of Centre policies and procedures;
  • assisting with reporting processes;
  • liaising with CARCEIT and NU staff, GSE students and alumni, and other stakeholders;
  • other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Work experience

- For a master’s degree at least 1 year of professional work experience in education or communications, with practical experience of tasks relevant to this position.

- With a bachelor’s or specialist’s degree, work experience in the specialty is at least 3 years in the areas corresponding to the functional areas of a particular position in international and/or national companies.

Experience in an international team is desirable

- Excellent oral and written communication skills;

- Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English;

- Ability to manage work effectively;

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of an intercultural team;

- Ability to take initiative and liaise with a wide range of people;

- Ability to represent the Centre professionally to diverse audiences;

- Commitment and integrity.
