Nazarbayev University School of Medicine, established in 2015, is being developed in partnership with the University Of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and offers a US-style curriculum taught in English. NUSOM’s mission is to educate a new generation of clinically skilled and research-focused physicians prepared for leadership positions in research, education, and clinical care to improve the health of individuals in Kazakhstan, Central Asia, and around the world.

Job Description

1) administrative support in the successful development and implementation of academic and professional programs of the School (hereinafter referred to as Programs);
2) participation in the process of developing academic programs and schedules of training sessions on programs, as well as subsequent coordination with interested structural units of the University;
3) assistance in carrying out activities related to the process of admission of students to School programs, their subsequent orientation and adaptation at School, as well as ensuring the organization of the process of registration, transfer, expulsion and graduation of students;
4) ensuring the preparation of the necessary information, reporting and statistical data on the educational process and on student progress in the programs;
5) participation in the implementation of a marketing strategy to promote the School, including the organization and participation in School events aimed at attracting students to programs (School Open Days, educational exhibitions, as well as other events related to academic staff and students of the School);

6) ensuring the collection, sorting and archiving of diploma and examination papers of students enrolled in programs after the end of each semester;
7) conducting correspondence within the scope of their functional responsibilities;
8) providing consulting assistance to students on training and logistics;
9) formation and maintenance of a database of applicants;
10) keeping minutes of meetings of academic committees of the School;
11) participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the supervised direction;
12) timely and high-quality execution of other assignments of the Dean of the School and the Chief Administrative Officer, as well as the University management within their job duties and responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

Degree in the following fields is preferable:

  •   Educational Management;
  •   Pedagogy;
  •   Linguistics;
  •   Law;
  •   Social sciences;
  •   Management;
  •   Business Administration;
  •   Public Health;
  •   Finance;
  •   Public Administration.

Work experience must meet one of the following requirements:

For a Bachelor’s degree, at least 1 year of professional experience in areas corresponding to functional areas. No working experience with master`s degree in the relevant area
