Company Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Professional Development Manager to contribute to the establishment of a new education research centre that will be housed within the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University. The vision of CARCEIT (Central Asian Research Centre for Education Innovation and Transformation) is to become the leading education research centre in Central Asia, producing high-quality research to inform education policy and practice while building education research networks and communities in Central Asia. CARCEIT will also engage in research-informed professional development.

The Professional Development Manager, in collaboration with the Centre Director and other staff, is responsible for:

• assisting with the design and planning of professional development projects;
• co-ordinating implementation of professional development projects conducted in the Centre;
• assisting in evaluation of professional development projects;
• managing documentation and reporting processes;
• assisting with the development of Centre policies and procedures;
• liaising with other NU staff and diverse stakeholders outside the university;
• representing the Centre to external parties;
• other duties as required.

Education

Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Work experience

- At least 1 year of professional work experience in education, training or a closely related field.

Professional competencies

- Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English;

- Ability to manage work effectively;

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of an intercultural team;

- Ability to take initiative and liaise with a wide range of people;

- Ability to represent the Centre professionally to diverse audiences;

- Commitment and integrity.
