Patron Services Office of Nazarbayev University Library
Job Description
Specialist is imposed with the following functions:
1) providing services in accordance with the user requests based on the latest
information technologies;
2) monitoring users’ compliance with library rules;
3) arranging books in the reading room and in the book Depository of the
Division;
4) reconciling new book receipts;
5) checking the availability of library materials in accordance with the lists in
the automated library information system;
6) conducting joint events with colleagues to promote library resources and
services, and foster a culture of reading;
7) designing book exhibitions in reading rooms, update signs, information
boards and other navigation tools in the user zone in the Division;
8) timely and properly executing the tasks of the line manager and the
University’s management;
Qualifications
Education:
Higher Education
Work Experience:
One-year minimum
No working experience with master`s degree in the relevant
area
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the basics of computer science;
- Broad general cultural training;
- Fluency in English, Kazakh and Russian languages;
- Ability to use MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;
