The Office carries out works on integrity, ethics and compliance with the conflict of interests. 

Job Description

The Manager  performs the following duties and responsibilities:

1)        support the timely identification and analysis of potential compliance issues and assist with the assessment of potential conflict of interests;

2)       serve  as a resource on state laws and regulations, responding to questions and assisting in investigations;

3)       facilitate  the transparent and consistent  conflict of interest disclosure;

4)       maintain  communication tools to guide University employees on compliance, ethics and conflict of interest topics;

5)       identify opportunities to optimize workflows and promote awareness of the University resources;

6)       use a collaborative approach in performing assigned tasks and in all interactions;

7)       produce reports for managing conflict of interest plans;

8)       maintain thorough and detailed records of all cases involving a conflict of interest;

9)       temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the Line manager of the Office during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);

10)  timely and properly executes the tasks of the Line manager and the University`s management;

11)  observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the University’s internal documents;

12)  is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;

13)  is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the University;  

14)  in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the Line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer);

15)  controls management and storage, condition and  safety of Division’s documents before submission of them to the University Archive;

16) maintains document management, transfers files to the Archive according to the File Register of the Division, develops annual draft File Register of the Division, issues, keeps, stores blanks of the University to be protected in the Division.

Qualifications

 

Education:

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction. Degree in Law.

Work experience must meet the following requirements:

For candidates with  Master`s degree in the relevant area - minimum 2 years of experience in legal and/or compliance;

For candidates with   Bachelor’s degree in the relevant area – minimum 3 years of experience in legal and/or compliance.

Computer skills:

Demonstrated proficiency using advanced office software applications, including spreadsheets and databases, MS Office;
