Education
Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Qualifications
Priority specializations:
-    Computer Science or related field;
-    Management of Information Technology
-    Engineering

Work experience
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the relevant area

Job functions:
1) registering errors, comments and suggestions regarding the support of the Office (Administrative Software, ERP) (hereinafter - Office);
2) assisting the Head in planning and executing the tasks and status reports of the Office projects;
3) providing advice and methodological assistance on Office issues;
4) conducting regular monitoring of the software product to ensure its further compliance;
5) performance evaluation of already used technological resources or ERP systems being implemented;
6) determining the practicality of changes and modifications to systems;    
7) installation of new software and assistance in training users to use it;
8) making suggestions to the Head and the General Manager regarding possible updates and changes within the scope of competence;
9) providing quality service to users, including interaction with users, responding to user requests and efficient handling of requests;
10) organization together with structural divisions
11) tracking trends in the constantly developing IT industry;
12) conducting regular internal IT audit in order to identify vulnerabilities and address them within the competencies;
13) working with other structural divisions, Schools and organizations of the University to achieve the goals and vision of the University, within the framework of the Office;
14) writing and sending regular reports within its competence to the Head and General Manager;
15) providing assistance to the Head and the Chief Information Officer in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of contracts and budget items within their competence;
16) performance of the duties of the employees of the Office entrusted by the Head during their temporary absence (business trip, social leave, regular work leave, temporary disability);
17) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
18) timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers

Qualifications

Professional competencies
- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of information and education;
- knowledge of international information technology (hereinafter - IT) standards;
- project management expertise, coordination of other software development teams, and control of resources and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade existing products;
- knowledge of the functionality and architecture of the used ERP system;
- knowledge of principles of ERP system support;
- knowledge and use of C/C++, Oracle JDE, SQL Server, Linux (desirable);
- understanding of network, software and hardware;
- data handling, data analysis and process skills;
- experience with flexible methodologies;
- SQL, Java/J2EE or .NET management skills to simultaneously manage one or more large and complex programs/projects;
- project portfolio management experience (preferably);
- change and project management skills;
- preparation and delivery presentation skills;
- skills to effectively set priorities and perform tasks in an intensive work environment;
- availability of certificates in IT relevant to the performance of these functions (desirable);
- professional possession of MSOffice programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- proficiency in English, Kazakh, Russian languages

Additional Information

Additional requirements:

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating system administration
- Experience in deploying and configuring clustering and server failover
- Experience in web server administration (Nginx, Apache, IIS)
- Experience in administering application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, etc.)
- Experience with VMware/vCenter virtualization technologies
- Understanding the basic protocols and technologies of the Internet (TCP / IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, FTP, SSH, SNMP, IPTables, etc.)
- Good analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge and use of Python, Bash
- Working knowledge of applications written in PHP
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve complex problems
- Purposefulness, flexibility, and the desire to constantly improve and expand skills
