Job Description

The School of Mining and Geosciences at the Nazarbayev University invites applications for faculty members open to all ranks. The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline, with a proven research track record and teaching experience commensurate with appointment rank. While open to exceptional candidates across all specialties, we especially encourage those to apply with established expertise in Reservoir Engineering with considerable laboratory experience.  Workload is distributed between teaching, research and service activities.  More specifically, the qualified candidate will:  (1) play a leading role in the design, development, and delivery of courses for the Petroleum Engineering Program; (2) lead and coordinate research and act as investigator in research projects at the international level; (3) perform administrative duties as allocated by the University and contribute significantly to the mission of the University by representing the School. Excellent communication skills and English fluency are required.

The appointment is a 3-year renewable contract subject to annual performance reviews. An attractive remuneration package for international faculty members includes:
