Job Description

The senior manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. coordinates students' activities in the organization and management of student self-government bodies and student organizations;

  2. plans and organizes cultural student events and involves students in organizing events;

  3. assists in holding student contests and competitions in various fields;

  4. performs a joint work with other departments of the University in order to improve extracurricular activities;

  5. promotes the functioning of student self-governance and student organizations and provides organizational support;

  6. develops and implements programs aimed at developing friendly and partnership relations with students of other higher educational institutions and youth organizations at the city, regional, republican and international levels;

  7. analyses extracurricular activities, assists in the preparation of summary reports on the work of the Unit;

  8. studies and analyses the experience of extracurricular activities organization of other higher educational institutions, makes proposals for its use and improvement;

  9. prepares proposals for the University management on the development of extracurricular activities of the University;

  10. makes proposals and takes part in the development of drafts of the internal regulations, plans, programs and recommendations within the framework of the Division's activities;

  11. coordinates work on the timely and high-quality dissemination of information on extracurricular activities (announcements, posters, etc.);

  12. carries out work with incoming correspondence, with requests from structural divisions, timely submits the responses to letters, appeals of citizens, as part of the activities of the Division;

  13. timely implements the preparation of work plans, reports on the work performed and assists in the formation of consolidated plans and reports for the Division;

  14. participates in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the supervised area;

  15. temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the General Manager during his/her  temporary absence (up to one month).

  16. timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;

  17. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;

  18. is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;

  19. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;   

  20. in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Education 

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Priority specializations:

Humanities and Social Sciences, including but not limited by:

- Educational leadership

- Management;

- Pedagogy;

- Psychology

Work Experience:

Bachelor: Five years min.
Minimum three years with master`s degree in the relevant area

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

- knowledge of educational system of North America and Great Britain;  

- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;

- fluent in English, Kazakh, Russian

Skills:
