Job Description

Main functions

1) participation in preparation, adjustments and monitoring of investment budget of the University in terms of academic and research equipment;

2) participation in preparation, adjustments and monitoring of operating budget of the University in terms of academic and research consumables;

3) participation in preparation, adjustments and monitoring of operating budget of the University’s Office of the Provost;

4)  participation in preparation of the budget request of the University in terms of academic and research equipment and consumables, as well as interaction with government bodies on the budget request;

5) coordination of the work of the Equipment Committee of the University;

6) participation in preparation of internal regulatory documents regarding the budgeting processes for purchases of equipment and consumables;

7) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;

8) timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.

Qualifications

Work experience

Three years min.

Minimum one year with master`s degree in the relevant area

Experience in the following areas is desirable:

- economic planning, financial analysis, accounting and analysis of operations related to purchases of equipment and materials;

- work experience in IFRS

Knowledge

- ability to work with 1C Accounting (Budgeting), EDMS, MS Office;

- knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education and science, budget planning;

- knowledge of internal regulations for the performance of official duties;

- analytical skills (compiling predictive information based on available data);

- skills in preparing reports, analytical notes;

- fluency in English, Kazakh and Russian

Education

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction
