Job Description

  • Administrative support in academic programs, admissions and /or Executive Education;
  • Organization and promotion of educational and student events:
  • orientation Program;
  • foreign component;
  • student trips;
  • graduation ceremony.
  • Acting as a link among students, Faculty, representatives of strategic partner of the School, managers of training programs, School management with respect to classes, training materials and other issues;
  • Rendering support to Faculty in requests prior to, during and after classes;
  • Attending required lectures, arrangement, consolidation and dissemination of training materials;
  • Adjusting and editing exam materials under the supervision or with the guidance of their instructor;
  • Ensuring fulfillment of School Code of Honor by students;
  • Monitoring of students achievements, entering students grades into Moodle system, as well as submitting final grades to the Office of the Registrar of Nazarbayev University;
  • Individual consulting of students, consulting in groups and mini groups, rendering assistance in academic issues via Skype, conference-calls, e-mail and telephone within regular office hours, as well as during evening hours in case of urgent need; repeating learnt material both in class and outside, during courses;
  • Rendering support to Faculty via Skype, conference-calls, e-mail and telephone within regular office hours, as well as during evening hours in case of urgent need;
  • Rendering support to School professors in carrying out interviews;
  • Attending School meetings to contribute School development;
  • Pay relevant attention to students having some difficulties in training process and render support aimed at solving students learning difficulties in close collaboration with program manager;
  • Preparation of materials and/or installation of equipment needed for classes, cleanness control, ensuring fulfilment of safety regulations during auditory lessons;
  • Participation in discussions and/or seminars;
  • Supporting Faculty in School`s administrative duties;
  • Control and coordination of less experienced instructors;
  • Ensuring protection of personal data;
  • Temporary performs the duties (replaces) of Classroom Coordinator of the Graduate School of Business during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);
  • Timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;
  • Observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
  • Responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;  
  • In case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Higher education, preferably with English as a language of instruction. Master’s or PhD degrees are preferable.

Priority specializations: economics; finance; accounting; statistics; public administration; business administration; and allied specializations.
