Job Description

The senior manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

1)      development of the concept "Residential Life";

2)      control over the maintenance and use of the Information System for managing the University's housing stock within the framework of internal regulatory documents, in terms of providing University students with housing;

3)      monitoring the implementation and evaluating the effectiveness of the "Residential Life" concept;

4)      organizing and controlling the implementation of program activities, including monitoring the program budget and analyzing the effectiveness of programs;

5)      coordination of activities of Resident Assistants selected among undergraduate students and Head Residents selected among graduate students;

6)      conducting trainings and advising Resident Assistant and Head Residents on their activities;

7)      monitoring and analysis of the performance of Resident Assistants and Head Residents;

8)      developing a community development plan on the campus of the University (developing a sense of belonging to the community; creating a friendly, respectful and inclusive environment, etc.);

9)      preparation of proposals to the director of the Department for the improvement of Student Life, including living and recreation conditions for students on campus of the University;

10)  promoting the involvement of faculty  in the organization of extracurricular activities of students on the campus of the University;

11)  temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the General manager during his/her  temporary absence (up to one month);

12)  timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;

13)  observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;

14)  is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;

15)  is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;  

16)  in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Work Experience:

Bachelor: Five years min.
Minimum three years with master`s degree in the relevant area

 

Education

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Qualifications

Priority specializations:

Work experience

Required work experience is defined in accordance with standard qualifications for administrative positions at the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University.

Successful working experience in the service industry, service organization, hotel business or service is preferable
