Job Description

The senior manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

1)       Development of a University life adaptation program (freshmen experience) for students of the Center of preparatory studies and students of the first year of undergraduate programs (hereinafter - students);

2)       coordination of the work of schools on the implementation of the University life adaptation program (freshmen experience);

3)       conducting outreach work on student services for students;

4)       involving students in participation  in extracurricular activities;

5)       coordination of the work of schools in planning and organizing trainings for the comprehensive development of students;

6)       involvement of teachers, employees, graduates and other specialists in the implementation of the University life adaptation program (freshmen experience);

7)       study and analysis of experience in University life adaptation program (freshmen experience) for students of other higher educational institutions, making proposals for the implementation of practices in order to improve the activities of the Unit;

8)       analysis of activities related to freshmen student life and assistance in the preparation of summary reports on the work of the Unit;

9)       participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the supervised area;

10)  temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the General manager during his/her  temporary absence (up to one month);

11)  timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;

12)  observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;

13)  is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;

14)  is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;  

15)  in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Education :

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Priority specializations:

- Management in the field of education and culture;

- Management and Business Administration

Work experience:

Five years min.

Minimum three years with master’s degree in the relevant area

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

- knowledge of educational system of North America and Great Britain; 

- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;

- fluent in English, Kazakh, Russian
