Job Description

The manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. rendering assistance in organizing work on the cultural and moral education of students and promoting the strengthening of student solidarity;

  2. conducting outreach work to protect and represent the rights and interests of students;

  3. conducting work on the prevention of violations of the University’s regulations;

  4. maintaining a database of students at risk;

  5. assistance to the manager (Conduct) regarding the application of disciplinary measures and monitoring of students at-risk after the imposition of disciplinary sanctions;

  6. monitoring the students who violated the University’s regulations during and after consideration of disciplinary actions to ensure wellbeing and non-recurrence of violations;

  7. assisting the Senior Manager (Advocacy and Conduct) in coordinating actions to provide assistance to students in emergency situations;

  8. participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, monitoring of risks within the framework of the activities of the Division;

  9. timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University's management;

  10. making proposals and taking part in the development of drafting internal regulations, plans, programs and recommendations within the framework of the Division's activities;

  11. timely implementation of the preparation of work plans, reports on the work performed and assistance in the formation of consolidated plans and reports for the Division;

  12. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer's internal documents;

  13. is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;

  14. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;   

  15. in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Work Experience:

Bachelor: Three years min.
Minimum one year with master`s degree in the relevant area

Education

Higher-professional, preferably from the higher education institutions with the English language of instruction

Qualifications

Priority specializations:

Humanities and Social Sciences, including but not limited by:

- Educational leadership;

- Management;

- Pedagogy;

- Psychology

Work experience

Required work experience is defined in accordance with standard qualifications for administrative positions at the autonomous organization of education Nazarbayev University.

Working experience with youth and/or students is preferable
