Legal support of the University’s activities

Job Description

Legal support of the University’s daily activities:

- preparation and/or legal analysis of draft decisions, orders, other internal documentation, contracts;

- preparation and legal analysis of contracts with strategic/foreign partners of the University, legal support of negotiations regarding conditions of said contracts;

- drafting letters regarding legal issues addressed to foreign partners of the University, cooperation with their legal departments on legal issues;

- interaction with public authorities, other bodies and organizations on the legal issues related to the activity of the University;

- participation in strategic projects of the University on property, housing, corporate and other issues;

- participation in coordination of work of legal departments of the University’s organizations;

- participation in preparation of meetings of governing bodies of the University, drafting minutes of said meetings as may be necessary;

- representing the University’s interests in courts and public authorities as may be necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

Higher professional: preferably from a foreign higher education institution with English language of instruction and medium of assessment.

Work experience must meet the following requirements: professional experience should be not less than 5 years in the areas corresponding to functional areas of the specific position (preferably in international, foreign and/or national companies).

Additional Information

Professional knowledge and personal qualities:

Knowledge of Kazakhstan’s legislation on the matters related to the University’s activity, including civil, corporate, financial, administrative, labor and other legislation; experience in concluding contracts with foreign individuals and entities, including those governed by legislation of foreign states.

Proficiency in languages, including state language, (list of languages):

Kazakh, Russian, English (good oral and writing skills) languages.

Computer skills:

High level PC (MS Office, “Paragraph”) and office equipment skills.
