Job Description

The School of Engineering and Digital Sciences of Nazarbayev University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position for outstanding candidate to join the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE).

Candidates must possess an earned PhD degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from a reputable Western university. Candidates must, during their prior career, have demonstrated excellence in research, learning and teaching and external engagement. A sustained and successful track record of attaining research or commercial funding and publication in internationally recognised quality journals associated with high scopus h-index are essential. An ideal candidate will be willing to work in a team to deliver teaching and research related to broad area of Mechanical, Aeronautics and Space Engineering. The candidate research interests should complement and augment the MAE Department's existing strengths in energy and thermofluids, applied mechanics, bio-engineering, engineering design, materials and manufacturing, aerospace propulsion, flight mechanics, and aeroelasticity.

Qualifications

PhD degree in related subject area from a reputable Western university with appropriate experience and a sound research record.
