Job Description

  • аnalyze the labor market trends;
  • conduct Surveys among Employers, students & Graduates to propose new policies and procedures in the directions related to the enhancement of CAC activities;
  • evaluate the Student Professional Development Program (Skills Development Program) and other CAC events to ensure it meets market needs and communicate recommendations to the University Schools and Office of Provost;
  • facilitate, coordinate and train CAC staff in  designing and conducting career/sharing the University experience related webinars;
  • develop, coordinate and facilitate  professional course for career preparedness of the University students including online and hybrid modules;
  • plan and carry out strategies and policies to strengthen engagement of the University students and graduates in CAC activities;
  • work and advise faculty and Schools administrators in cooperation with the Office of Provost on methods to enhance quality of career education/experiential learning to expand CAC participation;
  • coordinate the development of Annual Plan of activities within CAC strategic plans;
  • cooperate with CAC colleagues in  building partnerships between CAC and external communities (government, public sector, business, non-profit entities) and represent the University at various functions to gain exposure in the University students and graduates;
  • assist with management of CAC CareerNet and AlumNet (powered by Symplicity and other providers); routinely contact and  update employer data and professional contacts;
  • provide group and individual career advising to the University students and graduates;
  • supervise CAC  marketing materials;
  • participate in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;
  • timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Head of CAC and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.

Qualifications

Higher-professional, preferably from the higher education institutions with the English language of instruction

Required work experience is defined in accordance with standard qualifications for administrative positions at the autonomous organization of education “Nazarbayev University”:

  • for a PHD degree holder –at least 3 years of work experience with 1-2 years in a supervisory position;
  • for a Master`s degree holder  - at least 5 years of work experience with 2-3 years in a supervisory position;
  • for a Bachelor`s or a Specialist`s degree holder -at least 7 years of work experience which either contains 2-3 years in a supervisory position or is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or was accumulated in the context of national and/or international companies or at least 3 years of work experience at Nazarbayev University
