Job Description

1)    assisting the Head in organizing, planning and coordinating the activities of the administrative staff for academic and student affairs of the School, as well as providing them mentoring and methodological assistance;

2)    participation in the process of preparing and obtaining international accreditation of the academic programs of the School in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the University;

3)    participation in the process of School academic programs curriculum development, revision and enhancement in conjunction with interested structural divisions of the School and University;

4)    coordination of class scheduling, preparation of reports and statistics on the educational process, as well as student progress across all academic programs of the School in conjunction with interested structural units of the School and University;

5)     control over conclusion and execution of contracts and additional agreements initiated by the School in the framework of the supervised area in conjunction with interested structural units of the School and University;

6)     control over the all processes pertaining the recruitment and admission to academic programs of the School, as well as development of School indicative data for student enrollment in conjunction with interested structural units of the School and University;

7)     coordination and control over the implementation of an effective marketing strategy to promote the School and academic programs, the implementation of the school's recruiting plan, the implementation of the University’s internationalization strategy, the school’s academic mobility programs, events to transmit the experience of Nazarbayev University to Kazakhstani higher education institutions in conjunction with interested structural units of the School and University;

8)              consultation and assistance to the Head of departments and faculty of the School on academic issues and the organization of the educational process;

9)      if necessary, making proposals to the School management to improve the quality of the educational process, recruiting activities, student admission processes and promotion of the School's academic programs;

10)          consolidation, keeping and monitoring of the implementation of internal audit recommendations, as well as protocol assignments given by the Management of the University to the School within the framework of the supervised area;

11)  control over the process of development of the School’s budget and investment plan for the corresponding financial year and for the medium term within the framework of the supervised area;

12) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;

Qualifications

with PhD/Doctor of business administration,  degree, professional experience should be not less than 3 years, including 1-2 years of managerial work experience; or

with Master's degree, professional experience should be not less than 5 years, including 2-3 years of managerial work experience; or

with Specialist or Bachelor degree, work experience should be at least 7 years, including 2-3 years at  managerial position, or in the areas corresponding to the functional areas of a concrete position in the public service, international and/or national companies, or at least 3 years of managerial work experience at the University and/or its organizations.
