Job Description

To contribute to the development and delivery of Computer Science course curriculum, and to undertake and support related research and administrative activity.

 Assist the faculty members with preparation of learning materials, conducting discussions/study sessions that supplement faculty lectures. Holding office hours and providing support for research projects. Tutoring and assisting students individually or in small groups in order to help them accomplish assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by Professor(s). Assisting with labs, grading homework and tests, and computing and recording the results, using answer sheets or electronic marking devices. Other appropriate duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor degree (BSc) in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Engineering (CEng) is required. Pursuing a Master degree in Computer Science or a closely related field for TAs in graduate program.

Desired professional experience

Experience in teaching Computer Science is desirable

Availability of at least one reference letter from a person of CS/CEng field is desirable

Proficiency in languages, including state language

Excellent oral and written command of English and Russian is required; good oral and written command of Kazakh is preferred.
