Job Description

Teaching Assistant is imposed with the following functions:

1)       attends a minimum 90% of lectures (or equivalent) for the relevant course;

2)       provides support for the School research projects, subject to the written approval of their supervisor;

3)       assisting with the preparation of learning materials and students assignments;

4)       tutoring and assisting students individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by professors;

5)       assisting in grading homework and tests, computing and recording the results, using answer sheets or electronic marking devices;

6)       contributes to the development and implementation of the curriculum;

7)       assisting the faculty members with preparation of learning materials, conducting discussions and study sessions that supplement faculty lectures;

8)       preparing consumables and equipment for the laboratory classes;

9)       holding office hours and providing support for research projects of students;

10)  reading no more than 10% of the total number of lectures provided under the direct supervision of the teaching staff member given the written permission of the Dean;

11)  undertakes other duties as assigned by supervisor;

12) drafting correspondence in the range of his/her functional duties;

13) participation in identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of risks within the framework of supervised direction;

14) timely and proper fulfillment of other orders of the Dean of the School and the Head, and the University management within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers.

Qualifications

Education

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction, for Teaching Assistants for Master programs Master’s degree is a must. Current students of Master and PhD programs of the University are preferable

Qualifications

-         Computer Sciences

Work experience

Work experience is not required. Work experience in relevant field is preferable
