Western Sydney University Sydney City Campus (WSUSCC) is delivered through a partnership between Western Sydney University and Navitas, providing students with access to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a contemporary city-centre learning environment. Located on Elizabeth Street in the heart of Sydney, WSUSCC brings together university study, student support and industry-connected opportunities in one purpose-built campus.
SIBT is the pathway college for WSUSCC and Western Sydney University, offering Foundation and Diploma programs that prepare domestic and international students for progression into further tertiary study. Co-located with WSUSCC, SIBT plays an important role in supporting a seamless student journey from pathway studies through to degree completion.

Job Description
An exceptional opportunity to lead the strategic direction, growth and success of Western Sydney University Sydney City Campus (WSUSCC) and its pathway college, the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT). Reporting to senior stakeholders across Navitas and Western Sydney University, you will provide inspiring leadership across academic, operational, commercial and student experience functions, ensuring a seamless student journey from pathway studies through to degree completion. This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, maintaining academic excellence, delivering outstanding student outcomes, and achieving strong financial and operational performance, while fostering a high-performance culture and strengthening a key university partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership across SIBT and WSUSCC, driving sustainable growth, enrolment performance, pathway conversion and the successful delivery of strategic, operational and commercial objectives.
Lead and strengthen the partnership between Western Sydney University and Navitas, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and ensuring strong alignment of strategic priorities and shared goals.
Champion academic excellence and an exceptional student experience, fostering a culture focused on student success, engagement, retention, progression and graduate outcomes.
Drive financial performance, commercial growth and operational sustainability, delivering budget, revenue and profitability targets while identifying opportunities for innovation and managing business risks.
Develop and inspire high-performing teams, building organisational capability and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective governance, compliance and operational excellence, maintaining quality standards, managing risk and overseeing the infrastructure, systems and resources that support long-term success.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably at postgraduate level.
- Significant senior management experience within higher education.
- Demonstrated success leading organisational growth and transformation.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability.
- Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level partnerships.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams.
- Sound understanding of Australian higher education regulation and quality frameworks.
- Ability to operate effectively within complex partnership and matrix environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, diversity, equity and inclusion.
