Job Description

We require an Accounts Payable Officer to join our team for a 12-month contract role, covering maternity leave.

The Accounts Payable Officer manages the end-to-end processing of invoices and expenses for allocated business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and responsive support to suppliers and internal teams.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing end-to-end processing for assigned business units, including purchase order matching, manual data entry, approval workflow management, and weekly payment runs.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, refunds, commissions and homestay transactions.
  • Managing invoice exceptions, disputes, and issue resolution across business units.
  • Responding to external and internal stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reviewing payables aging reports and following up on outstanding items.
  • Assisting with the AP Service Desk as required.
  • Conducting supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assisting with processing requirements for other business units during periods of leave or high workload.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the AP function, including workflow efficiency and system enhancements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date procedures manuals for allocated business units.
  • Ad hoc tasks as determined by the Accounts Payable Team Leader

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end accounts payable processing.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms and payment processes.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player, with flexibility to take on varied tasks and a willingness to learn and assist others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise initiative when required.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct in financial operations.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Oracle ERP system preferred.
  • Familiarity with Inspyrus or other invoice automation tools.
  • Experience with HSBC and/or Citibank banking platforms.
