About the Role: We are seeking passionate and experienced academics to join our teaching team as Sessional Lecturers in the Bachelor of Business (BBus), Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc), and Master of Professional Accounting, Professional Practice (MPAPP), Master of Project Management and Leadership (Professional Practice) (MPMLP), Master of Business Data Analytics (MBDA) programs. Session 2 2026 commences 13 July 2026. Teaching is conducted in person at our Melbourne campus, with classes scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will also contribute to scholarly activities and student mentorship.

Teaching areas:

Bachelor level: Employability & Professional Skills in Business & Accounting, Financial Accounting & Reporting, Management Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business and Taxation Law, Data Analysis, WIL (Work Integrated Learning, Work place 1 & 2), Management and Leadership, Marketing.

Master’s level: Financial Accounting & Reporting, Management Accounting, Statistics in Business, Business Law, Taxation Law, Employability & Professional Skills in Business & Accounting, Accounting Ethics and Theory; Audit & Assurance, Management & Leadership, Marketing, Project Management, Business Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach at AQF 7 (Bachelor) or AQF 9 (Master’s) levels, with guidance from course coordinators and convenors.
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and workshops in person on campus
  • Engage with students via the learning management system (LMS) and monitor their progress plus provide consultations
  • Mark assessments and complete administrative tasks within the given timeframe
  • Participate in professional development and scholarly activities. Reflect on teaching and apply student and peer feedback for continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree (for teaching at the Bachelor level) or a PhD (for teaching at the Master’s level) in a Business or Accounting discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualifications (CPA Australia / CA / IPA) are required for teaching accounting subjects
  • Demonstrated experience in WIL to teach the work placement subjects
  • Project Management Certifications are essential to teach Project Management subjects
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably at the university level
  • Proven ability to teach and assess students effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Effective classroom management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and equity in education.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
