Job Description
The Course Leader: Early Childhood provides academic and strategic leadership for the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Teaching.
The appointment is at academic Level D (Associate Professor), as this role plays a pivotal part in the success of the discipline, leading teaching excellence, course development, staff support, and academic governance. As a senior academic, the Course Leader also fosters a culture of scholarship, industry engagement, and professional development aligned with college and accreditation standards.
This role can be based in either our Brisbane or Sydney campus.
Qualifications
A qualification from an appropriate cognate discipline and professional experience deemed equivalent by the College to one AQF level above the course level.
- Experience working in a higher education institution
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Scholarly and/or industry expertise in the early childhood education field
- A student-focused approach and commitment to high-quality teaching
- Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and lead teams
- Proficiency in relevant educational technologies and systems
- Awareness of transferable skills and cultural inclusivity
- A commitment to academic and operational excellence through continuous improvement
