We are looking for a talented and resourceful person who can bring their drive and positive energy to our team, in this role, your core mandate will be to our network and systems infrastructure initiatives working in the infrastructure team to build, test and maintain the company infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

• Act as the subject matter expert in the following domains:
  • Core networks and systems design, including but not limited to DNS Servers and DNS Management, Virtual Networks, vSwitches, IPAM, Routing, BGP, NAS and/or SAN technologies, VLANS, network security tools, IPSec connectivity
• Provisioning and configuration based on the following technologies:
  • Windows Servers – IIS, MS SQL, .NET Applications, Active Directory
  • Linux Servers
  • Observability tools – e.g., Dynatrace, NewRelic, RedGate, SolarWinds Sentry One DataDog, PRTG etc.
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud (or other) IaaS, PaaS solutions, Azure AD, Azure Cost Management
• Experience working with Load Balancers and scale out infrastructure.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud services, e.g., virtual machines, app services, Kubernetes, cloud databases etc.
• Will remain current on emerging security concerns and establish process to manage critical patches, circulate advisories, and advocate and train on proper security practices.
• Implementing, maintaining, and improving Network/systems monitoring to help identify and improve key performance metrics
• Strong working knowledge and experience in installation, configuring and troubleshooting switches, firewall and wireless controllers
• Research and recommend innovative, preferably automated, approaches for network and systems administration tasks.
• Build, support and maintain the enterprise network, security systems, through the use of routine commands, administration techniques, tools, and utilities.
• Build, support and maintain support documents, standard operating procedures and policies related to the network, servers, cloud, and managed datacenter environments.
• Expertise in Firewall and security best practices.
• Ensures high availability, scalability, redundancy, and security of network and server infrastructure.
• Setting up monitoring tools and playbooks for remediation.
• Has an automation first mindset to ensure scalability as the organization grows.
• Previous experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Teamcity or other would be an asset.
• Excellent systems administration skills including troubleshooting Windows Servers, Linux Servers, patch management, high availability systems, Database servers.
• Experience running workloads or migrating workloads to the public cloud - Azure and/or AWS and/or GCP – with best practices.
• Previous experience in VMWare, Nutanix or Hyper-V would be an asset.
• A general understanding of MS SQL Server would be an asset
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, version control and the ITIL Framework
• Impeccable documentation discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5-10 years of relevant IT experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in NetOps/WebOps environment
• Knowledge of security fundamentals and governance
• Significant experience with hybrid, private and public cloud setups.
• Knowledge and experience with configuration management tools to assist with infrastructure and application automation
• Network sniffing and monitoring utilities
• Microsoft domain functionality and logging tools
• Data Center Virtualization and Infrastructure technologies
• Monitoring solutions – network, systems and software.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with Scrum Framework
• Cisco/Juniper/other networking certifications
• Any of Azure/GCP/AWS certifications
