Job Description

  • Provide overall strategic and operational leadership of information management and technology for Travel Edge, including planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of all related initiatives.
  • Facilitate Management Team technology discussions, prioritization and governance to ensure efficient and effective decision-making.
  • Oversee the creation of a detailed technology roadmap identifying investment costs and a 3-year implementation plan.
  • Lead business process mapping to identify the business drivers
  • Coordinate with departments and teams to develop business cases for new projects that can be prioritized by the Management team.
  • Define and adjust technology standards and technologies in close collaboration with leadership and management.
  • Work closely with VP, Business Travel and Director of Operations to ensure Operations team has the resources required to optimize customer experience
  • Coordinate transition of completed projects to the Account Management and Operations Departments
  • Ensure all important communication is properly documented and archived
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the company’s booking platforms and product lines to be able to effectively manage the design, delivery and continuous improvement in support of the organization’s needs
  • Proactively provide recommendations to improve existing processes and develop new ones that will increase work efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional environment
  • Support Director of Operations and Team Leads in development of onboarding training for new agents
  • Play a key role in leading and managing internal systems and process development and providing team training and support
  • Assist in increasing company profitability by creating and implementing efficient frontline processes
  • Contribute towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Provide regular feedback to the VP, Business Travel regarding process and procedure improvements

Qualifications

  • Issue Resolutions experience – proficient in deployment methodologies, program development and soft skills (communication skills, critical thinking, time management, team building, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a project manager or development specialist; preferably in a supervisory or management position
  • GDS, mid-office & back-office knowledge and experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver implementation programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and other methodologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the latest technology to develop and deliver optimal managed travel programs
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training and presenting style
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office and web-based systems; visual aids technology
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills required
  • Strong people management leadership and relationship building skills
