Job Description

Nauticus Robotics is actively seeking a Project Manager to organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s development and product implementation efforts. 

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate program schedule, resources, and budget across multiple projects and project teams.
  • Provide executive-level status and program updates.
  • Create systems to improve engineering team efficiency and remove workflow blockers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple development projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Experience with commercial product development
  • Experience with managing multi-discipline engineering efforts (Mechanical, Electrical, Software), preferably prototype design.
  • Experience with Customer facing interactions.
  • Must have experience creating scope and estimating experience to develop a WBS and schedule, including budget.
  • Jira (or equivalent ticketing system)
  • Jira Plan (or equivalent)
  • SharePoint
  • MS Office

 

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Experience with assembly and integration of hardware
  • Robotics experience
  • Agile experience
  • Proposal Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee will also be frequently required to stand.
  • The employee must frequently lift, push, or pull equipment at a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, maneuver in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing some duties of this job, the employee may be required to travel domestically and internationally. This role may also require exposure to a variety of construction and/or offshore platform, various bodies of water job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

The performance of this position will require frequent traversing in lab and storage areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
