Job Description

FOR CONSIDERATION

  • 2023 Fall Internship Duration: September 2023 - December 2023
  • You must be available for at least 40.00 hours a week to be eligible for this role, this is a full-time internship.
  • You must be available to commute or relocate, this is an on-site position.

The Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions. This assistance may include but is not limited to:

  • Shipping and receiving operations
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Invoice processing and payment processing
  • Employee expense report activities

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Must be enrolled in an Accounting Bachelor or Graduate degree program
  • Must be at least a sophomore in college (completion of freshman year) with courses in Beginner and Intermediate Accounting completed prior to internship.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or accounting software to maintain records and input data. 
  • Good written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED

  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or above in Accounting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing some duties of this job, the employee may be required to travel domestically and internationally. This role may also require exposure to a variety of construction and/or offshore platform, various bodies of water job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. 

The performance of this position will require frequent traversing in lab and storage areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
