Job Description
To streamline deployments and modernize our production practices, we are strengthening the synergy between our Development teams (based in Paris) and our Application Production /Operations teams (based in Porto).
We are looking for a DevSecOps with an atypical profile: a development and automation enthusiast, reporting to the Operations team in Porto. Your role will be to support and coach the local Ops team so they can build skills in automation and development practices applied to infrastructure, thereby facilitating deliveries from the Paris development teams.
Main responsibilities
You will be the technical and collaborative bridge between the local Ops and the Paris Dev teams. Your missions revolve around three pillars:
1. Coaching & Support for Ops teams
- Change management: Guide, train, and upskill the Ops team on development best practices applied to automation (“Infrastructure as Code”).
- Collaboration facilitation: Propose concrete solutions to improve day‑to‑day operations and collaboration between Production (Porto) and Developers (Paris).
- Alignment: Help Ops better understand developers’ constraints and ways of working to streamline the overall delivery chain.
2. Release Management & Pipeline Automation
- Deployment optimization: Audit, maintain, and optimize deployment processes, making essential use of XL Deploy (XLD) and XL Release (XLR) to effectively support release launches.
- Tooling development: Design robust scripts and automation components to reduce manual tasks and secure Production deployments.
3. Infrastructure Modernization (IIS & Containerization)
- Maintain the current stack: Assist Ops with fine‑tuning, configuration, and optimization of IIS web servers hosted on Windows VMs.
- Transition to containerization: Support the progressive migration of our applications to OpenShift. You will work with the Ops team on container image creation, management, and pod lifecycle management.
Qualifications
We are looking for a hybrid profile, strongly oriented toward development (clean code, structured scripting) but embedded within the Operations team.
Required Technical Skills (Must‑have):
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in Python and PowerShell (essential for scripting and automation).
- Release Tools: Knowledge of XL Deploy (XLD) and XL Release (XLR) for release management, or similar tools.
- Windows / IIS Environment: Excellent knowledge of configuring and setting up IIS servers on Windows VMs.
- Containerization (OpenShift): Solid practical experience with OpenShift (image creation, pod management and lifecycle).
Desired Technical Skills (Nice‑to‑have):
- Knowledge of C# is a real plus to better understand applications developed in Paris.
Soft skills:
- Pedagogy & Coaching: You enjoy teaching, explaining, and supporting “infra/ops” profiles towards more development‑ and automation‑oriented practices.
- Interpersonal skills & Communication: Ability to work remotely and act as a link between Porto and Paris. Good proficiency of English is essential (B2).
- Pragmatism: Able to manage the existing stack (VM/IIS) while actively preparing the future on OpenShift.
