Job Description

Team presentation and main goal:

As part of the Finance Direction, you will integrate the Financial Data Integrity department (FDI) which oversees the labelling of financial data for CIB activities of Natixis (balance sheet and off-balance sheet).

You will join a team of 6 people in Porto.

As a Senior Data Governance Officer, of a major French banking institution with international dimension, you will:

• Support Data Management initiatives for Internal & Regulatory framework toward improvement of the quality of reports produced by Natixis CIB;

• Participate in the Data monitoring for CIB activities (Financing, Global market, etc.)

You will be in contact with the other teams of FDI, internal Finance partners and Finance IT teams.

Main tasks and goals:

As a Senior Data Governance Officer, your primary tasks will be:

1- Data Systems and Analytics:

  • Develop solutions for data extraction, exploration, and transformation using SQL and other technologies;
  • Interface between business line and IT to translate business requirements into data sources and queries, supporting the creation of KPI metrics for dashboards;
  • Design and implement data architectures, along with new dashboards, to enhance business intelligence capabilities;
  • Manage and improve the use of data visualization tools like Power BI, ensuring the effective presentation of data to stakeholders;.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of scheduled reporting, including Power BI dashboards, to regularly inform business decisions.

2-  Requirements and Coordination:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of business requirements, from elicitation and analysis to documentation, management, and solution translation;
  • Plan and conduct workshops, interviews, and prototyping sessions to collect, clarify, and confirm business requirements;
  • Coordinate with Finance IT to monitor and prioritize the remediation plans and overall business requirements;
  • Ensure the effective coordination and implementation of financial issues remediation with relevant committees and IT teams.

3- Data Governance and Strategy (Technical View & Impact):

  • Participate in the coordination of the Data Domain Office (DDO) network for finance, including involvement in framework committees and data quality frameworks for projects regarding all technical request;
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of DM roadmap, aiming to align data management practices with business objectives regarding the technical impact.

4- Monitoring and Collaboration:

  • Monitor the implementation of business requirements and data strategies in collaboration with IT teams.
  • Support the management and enhancement of data visualization and BI solutions, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with various teams to promote cross-functional unity and ensure the seamless integration of technical data insights into business processes.

Additional information:

You will be part of a bi-localised team with a local manager and a functional manager Paris based, with regular interactions Paris team.

The ability to develop a network within the various teams of the Natixis ecosystem, and an aptitude for collaborative and group work are key factors of success in this position.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Math, Data Analytics, Data Science or Data Engineering;
  • Data Management and Governance;
  • BCBS 239;
  • Banking environment, regulations, and products;
  • Data Analyst, with expertise in data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau;
  • Data manipulation using DAX, M, Excel, SQL, and Python;
  • Synthesize complex datasets into clear visualizations and dashboards;
  • Big Data environments and technical tools for data analysis;
  • English (mandatory) and French (as a plus). 

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities;
  • Curious, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Teamwork orientation and coaching skills to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
