Job Description

Natixis is a France-based, multinational financial services organization, which offers a diversified array of financing and capital markets solutions for institutional clients and counterparties. In the Americas, Natixis has a Corporate Investment Banking branch and subsidiaries in New York, representative offices in LA and Houston, a branch in Montreal, Canada and several representative offices in Latin America as well as an Asset Management business through Natixis Investment Managers’ distribution and service groups including Natixis Distribution, LLC (a limited purpose US broker-dealer and the distributor of various US registered investment companies for which advisory services are provided by affiliated firms of Natixis Investment Managers). All of the above forms the BPCE / Natixis Combined U.S Operations (CUSO).

As part of the Combined US Operations organization, the CUSO Quality Assurance Model Risk Analyst will play a key role in the CUSO Internal Control Framework by conducting quality controls on CUSO Model Risk Management (MRM) processes and activities. The CUSO MRM Group within the Risk Department (Model Risk & Risk Governance) is responsible for Model Validation, Model Risk Assessment, and Model Risk Management for Natixis’ Group.

Essential duties and responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Model Risk Analyst activities will aim at ensuring proper application of Model Risk Management Policies and Procedures. The Quality Assurance Model Risk Analyst will be responsible to:

  • Execute controls related to the proper execution of the Policies & Procedures
  • Execute QC/QA tasks on reviews performed by the Model validation Team
  • Prepare and report control results including identified anomalies/findings and proposed corrective measures as per the control procedure, under the required format of the control report and in the control management tool used for that purpose
  • Present and discuss control results with US stakeholders including senior management
  • Proactively propose new controls/enhancements to ensure the highest adhesion to MRM Policies & Procedures across the firm
  • Assist in performing the annual control plan and tracking the status of the plan throughout the year
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new and enhanced controls
  • Help prepare and report metrics tracking control execution progress
  • Contribute to reporting to senior management and regulatory authorities when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University/College in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or other business-related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial industry. Experience working with financial models is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory)
  • Ability to interact and work closely with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively handle a fast-paced environment and successfully meet established deadline requirements.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • VBA / Power BI skills are preferred
