Job Description

The Trust team is in charge of a shared platform which aims to handle all end-users authentication requests. At the center of BPCE clients’ ecosystem, this critical platform is used by our customers to access to their online bank accounts, to digitally sign contracts or to acknowledge online payments.

This perimeter needs to provide 24/7 support, due to its ‘online digital banking’ business.

This brand-new platform is currently being designed to be “state of the art”, using modern technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine, OpenShift, XLDeploy, Terraform and Jenkins.
Our authentication platform is used 24/7/365 by the clients of our 46 banks and/or subsidiaries, which represents more than 12 million active clients and generating more than 4 billion authentications each year.

The DevOps Engineer participates in projects in the construction and production phases of application developments. It ensures the proper functioning of the applications under its responsibility by taking into account the availability of resources.

He can also help define the technical components of the IS and manage changes. It provides advice, assistance, information, training and early warning on integration, and oversees progress and continuous improvement.

Missions:

ʘ Participate in the Operators' projects under the guidance of the Project Director and/or Project Manager of BPCE Managed Services and Technologies in the construction and production phases of application evolutions.

ʘ Analyze and correct incidents in levels 2 and 3

ʘ Actively participate in the production and software development processes in conjunction with Operators Editors and provide operational support to project teams

ʘ Implement technical resolution solutions of incidents. Perform diagnostics to identify causes of malfunction, propose and implement "back-up" fixes and solutions.

ʘ Maintain information system applications in operational condition for quality, productivity and security.

ʘ Analyze the operational risks and customer impacts of its area of responsibility

ʘ Ensure the management of environments (definition of needs, validation of development and acceptance environments, monitoring)

ʘ Ensure a role of advice, assistance, information, training and early warning in integration (definition of the components of the IS, steering of implementation and guaranteeing the required level of quality).

ʘ Participate in defining usability requirements in their area of responsibility and, where necessary, interface experts in other areas and manage interactions with suppliers.

ʘ Define standards and rules for sound management of operating systems and systematically check their application (IT security, quality, etc.).

ʘ Contribute to reliability, securing and optimising security in its area of responsibility

ʘ Offering innovative solutions to improve the performance of its area of activity

ʘ Ensuring the right level of service quality in line with the requirements of service contracts (SLA) in their area of responsibility

ʘ Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects

ʘ Ensure that all the projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

ʘ Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility

ʘ Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

ʘ Report and escalate to management as needed

ʘ Create and maintain project documentation with accurate reports

ʘ Ensure the availability of technical resources

 

Specificities for integration activities

ʘ Participate in the design and/or choice of solutions (or software package)

ʘ Participate in the production of information system evolutions

ʘ Establish operational preparation files, manufacture or evolve components, test them individually and ensure that the results comply with the technical specifications

ʘ Integrate the solution or the hardware and/or corrective maintenance into the reference system and ensure the availability of the components

ʘ Actively participate in the certification

In addition, for the Packaging activities

ʘ Install a set of components constituting the version, carry out the porting of the versions, assist the teams for the installation and production of the released versions, manage the repository of the platform (object reference and configuration)

In addition, for the approval activities

ʘ Ensure the approval of the various software, perform the acceptance, validation, installation and provision of components, and perform the technical tests and reception.

ʘ Perform delivery of the application (deliverables: documentation, components, etc.).

Specificities for support activities

ʘ Ensure that the IT working environment of users is maintained in operational condition by providing assistance, advice, information and training.

ʘ Actively contribute to continuous improvement by relaying the voice of users to competent technical teams.

ʘ Can contribute to the evolution of the IS by being involved in projects with an impact on the supported work environment.

 

 

 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for 

Qualifications and Hard Skills:

  • Good knowledge of deployments tools (GIT, XL Deploy, XL Release, Terraform)
  • Good in Unix systems
  • Good knowledge of Google Cloud Platform principles and in particular Google Kubernetes Engine service
  • Basic knowledge of production tools like Scheduler (Ctrl-M/VTOM), Supervision (Zabbix, AppDynamics), ELK
  • Experienced in Project Management

Soft Skills:

  • Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
  • Good level of French (C2 level) (mandatory)
  • Good level of Portuguese is a plus
  • Excellent client facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and French)
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Positive and collaborative mindset
  • Autonomy, organization, and prioritizing skills
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge
