Job Description

The general responsibilities for the E-Communications Surveillance Team Leader include the following:

  • Working with Technology and Third-Party Vendors to finetune the parameters from which E-Communications alerts are derived, troubleshooting any issues, and moving towards achieving goals
  • Support the analysts on the reviews of written and voice e-communications alerts for potential violations of firm policies or applicable rules and regulations, escalating to the appropriate department when necessary, and closing alerts with accurate, complete, and organized notes
  • Establishing and maintaining written procedures and governance processes around the E-Communications Surveillance Programs
  • Driving the enhancement and improvement of the programs from both an effectiveness and efficiency perspective
  • Working with line of business supervisors, first line of defense employee, and compliance managers
  • Conducting deep dive Investigations of potential issues when necessary
  • Keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes, internal policy updates, and disciplinary actions to determine that the monitoring system incorporates up-to-date search techniques, rules, lexicons and other attributes
  • Planning enhancements both internally and with Third-Party Vendors to incorporate other statistical methods, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in the monitoring tool
  • Preparing metrics to report monitoring results to senior management, including identifying potential trends or themes that may warrant further consideration or action

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • +2 years of leadership experience in communication monitoring in the financial services industry or similar roles in compliance area
  • Previous experience with Compliance Accelerator or similar monitoring tool a strong plus
  • Experience in e-communications monitoring system implementation or system enhancement a strong plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with PowerBI

Early morning. Campo 24 de Agosto. In 4 minutes, you are clocking in at the office. After grabbing a cup of coffee and fresh fruit, pick up your laptop and choose your spot for the day. It's going to be a busy one: French class before lunch and, just after, quick medical appointment at Natixis doctor's office.
 
Lunch break. Outside in the big terrace (look at your crops at the Urban Garden; ready to harvest!) or, if you feel like stretching your legs, walk downtown to grab lunch.
 
Back inside. Quick sprint review (working together anywhere means virtual happy birthday to that colleague in Paris that just turned 35). The afternoon went flying (tasks, reports, calls, some jokes with your teammates). End it on a high note: just one PlayStation game or the final match for that ping-pong tournament.
 
Tomorrow, you complete that certified technical training and the day after, you will work from home, taking advantage to finally do that online course on Udemy. Once you are done with your tasks for the day, you can visit the office for a board games session or show up at the rehearsal of one of Natixis bands. If that is too steady for you, meet your colleagues to surf some waves or join them in a football match.
