We are looking for Sr. Project Manager to join our growing team.

The Project Manager of Data and Analytics, is responsible for the technical project management of both major and minor D&A initiatives and projects. This role owns projects throughout the entire lifecycle, is responsible for the delivery of all technical and functional aspects of projects on time, within budget, and to business requirements.

What Would You Do?  The Specifics

• Works closely with the business to track demand, understand key business requirements and associated business cases.
•  Develops a roadmap of strategic and operational D&A initiatives and obtains key stakeholders and D&A team buy-in.
•  Manages individual D&A projects, build project plans, estimates, deliverables, milestones, track progress, manages risks/issues and holds team members accountable for assigned tasks, as necessary.
•  Balances project time, resources, cost and scope to ensure projects are successful and meet business needs.
• Acts as the single point of coordination for executive sponsors, streamlines communication, ensures common understanding of development plans, facilitates change management, and implements tracking and status reporting.
•  Leverages past experiences as a D&A individual contributor to share with team members a point of view/inputs on estimations, feasibility, issues and risks specific to D&A projects.
•  Partners with the Business Analysts, Data Modelers / Architects/ Developers to ensure time estimations are accurate and communicated appropriately.
•  Ensures the project's technical documents (requirements, architecture, functional specifications, technical specifications, testing plans, training etc.) are thorough, signed off on by the stakeholders and maintained throughout the project.
•  Manages day to day business demands and interactions with stakeholders and translates to D&A team, as necessary.
• Tracks and provides weekly status reports to IT leadership and business stakeholders for in-flight projects and initiatives.

• Four year college degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years’ related experience and/or training.
• Solid understanding and experience of agile and SDLC methodologies. Prior experience managing data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics projects. Prior experience with data and analytics projects in an individual contributor role preferred. Business analysis experience.
•  Project Management Certification (PMP) or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
•  Basic: BI Reporting Tool, for example, SAP business objects, Data visualization, SAP Analytics Cloud, Database (Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Netezza Database), Data Warehouse, IBM Netezza, Google Bigquery, Query language such as SQL.
